My FREEBIE is a Color Words Clip Cards FREEBIE that allows your little learners to enhance their fine motor development while practicing reading color words. There is a great need for providing opportunities for fine motor development in young children. Many recent articles tell of children entering kindergarten in the past few years lacking the necessary fine motor control to grip a pencil or crayon, use scissors, or turn pages. This decline in fine motor development has been attributed to increased screen time for young children and decreased time spent participating in traditional early childhood activities such as play dough, lacing, assembling puzzles, and doing finger plays.
